Did you know?
In Italian, confetti are not colourful paper pieces, but sugar-coated almonds traditionally given at weddings and special celebrations. They are usually white for weddings and symbolise happiness, health, wealth, fertility, and long life.
Guests often receive them as part of a bomboniera, a small gift or keepsake offered by the couple to thank their guests. Inside, you’ll typically find a few confetti wrapped in tulle or placed in a decorative box.
