As well as offering plenty of games on my website, I thought it would make sense to collect some puzzles into a book. And it might be more helpful for Italian language learners to have the puzzles grouped by theme, as this would make it easier to remember new words.
So, I created some puzzle books. Each book has a collection of 100 puzzles; these include word searches, freeform crosswords, word scrambles, word matches, word fits and cryptograms. Even though the books are part of a series, you can enjoy them in any order.
Often, those who learn Italian also love to travel to Italy, if they can. So my first puzzle book includes lots of useful words related to travelling, packing for a holiday, staying in a hotel, visiting a museum, as well as a few Italian cultural nuggets.
This second puzzle book is centred around the all-important theme of life at home and with the family. You’ll be able to pick up new words about family relationships, various rooms in the house, cooking and eating and spending time with your loved ones.
This third puzzle book is great for picking up new vocabulary related to life on our beautiful planet Earth.
For instance, you’ll be able to learn new words about the natural world: animals, plants, the environment, geography, mountains, oceans and much more.
